Mission

Through the relationships we were able to develop with service providers within our community, Sheperd's Tent significantly impacted the lives of the desired homeless population we sought assist. Initiatives like "feed the flock" not only allowed us to cast a wide net of services, but these initiates also opened doors for more intimate care with our highest valued target population, FAMILIES. In 2024 Shepherd's tent was able to provide case management services to 4 homeless families with children.  While previous initiatives will continue, this year our primary focus will be MENTORSHIP! If you would like to volunteer your time or have a child in mind you believe could benefit mentorship please reach out today!

Our Mission

Here at Shepherd’s Tent, we are a non profit organization that recognizes the obstacles facing society are inherently complex. We are also aware that if we are to realize our vision of supporting wellness and stability within populations of concern, a multifaceted approach, adequate in addressing the aforementioned complexity is imperative.

The strides necessary to realize this vision are implemented through a diverse range of contribution methods. These same methods represent the very core of our organizational purpose and serve as the 5 upholding pillars to our mission here a Shepherd's Tent.

-Protect and restore the natural environment through environmental awareness, environmental cleanup, and sustainability projects.

-Implement service programs in response to homelessness that encompass shelter, health, and hunger solutions.

-Create establishments and opportunities that foster scholarship, internship, continuing and higher education, and research.

-Devise strategies to enrich and protect individuals while in their neighborhood communities, especially those functioning as a family unit.

-Provide services to individuals disadvantaged by substance abuse, gang, and/or justice involvement, by using vocational-based treatment programs, record expunction, and tattoo removal as resources for rehabilitation.
